The Kimberley Hotels Group
The Kimberley Hotels Group consist of two fantastic properties, the 4 star Fitzroy River Lodge and the Historic Crossing Inn, both located in the outback town of Fitzroy Crossing in the heart of the Kimberley. The Fitzroy River Lodge celebrated its 20th birthday in 2009 and over the years has been a welcome sight for thousands of weary travelers.
The Inn, established in 1897 by Joseph Blythe was originally a "shanty inn and trade store" that served prospectors, bullock team drivers, cattle drovers and locals, although floodwaters have meant continual rebuilding over the years, it has operated on the same site ever since...
Both properties are majority owned by Leedal Pty Ltd, which represents local Indigenous groups, with the remaining equity being held by industry partners. The properties assist Leedal to subsidise the groceries sold at its supermarket, sponsor a children’s education program, supply computers for the school, support local sporting carnivals and provide opportunities for local Indigenous Fitzroy residents to travel.
